Lobos Activos is a SIPAT program that gives students from grades 1-6 a special afternoon of enrichment activities once every three weeks, during which their teachers get precious collaboration and prep time. Each class rotates through 30 minutes in each of three areas:
Physical Education
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Gardening
The Environmental Enrichment Program helps provide parent volunteers for the garden activities, where students explore seasonal changes and plant life-cycles through hands-on lessons, building observation skills as they learn how plants grow, reproduce, and thrive from seed to harvest. Volunteering is a wonderful way to enjoy some fresh air, support hands-on science learning, and help students connect with nature in a fun, active school program. No gardening expertise is required — just a willingness to help and encourage students!
If you’re available to volunteer from 1-2:20 on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon (or several), we’d love to have you join us! Please login to the SIPAT Volunteer Portal to sign-up here (Sign-ups are grouped by grade level).
